Keep the plan current

Annual review turns old intentions into usable instructions.

Confirm the people, records, authority, and funding that the plan depends on.

01

What to review

Confirm contact information, cat health and routines, caregivers, home access, veterinary providers, funding instruments, accepted residency elections, and all governing agreements.

02

Document review statuses

Received means the file arrived. Under review means staff are evaluating it. Verified means the record supports the plan. Needs correction means a replacement or clarification is required.

03

Do not wait for the anniversary

Report a death, incapacity, move, caregiver withdrawal, major diagnosis, authority change, funding change, or loss of access immediately. Signed amendment forms preserve version history without replacing the full agreement each year.

Program boundary

Only accepted agreements create program duties.

Public guidance helps people prepare and coordinate. It does not itself create custody, ownership, placement, residency, fiduciary authority, restricted use, or an emergency-response obligation.
