Urgent transition support
Protect people and cats first. Then report the activation.
Use this guidance after a death, incapacity, hospitalization, displacement, caregiver withdrawal, or urgent welfare concern.
Gather what is safe to share
When the immediate danger is controlled, gather the Guardian’s name, cat names and locations, the event and date, the person currently with the cats, veterinary needs, and a reliable callback contact. Do not submit passwords, alarm codes, authentication codes, or full financial account numbers.
Report and preserve the chain of custody
Use the activation report for a participant event. Record who retrieved each cat, when custody changed, where the cat went, and any veterinary or transport handoff. General program questions belong in the Support Center or contact page.
Program boundary
Only accepted agreements create program duties.
Public guidance helps people prepare and coordinate. It does not itself create custody, ownership, placement, residency, fiduciary authority, restricted use, or an emergency-response obligation.
